The website has been up dated after a very long delay due to the webmasters heavy workload. With any luck it will be updated more frequently.

All the latest scores have been updated. The delay was caused by the upsurge in GB activities leading to consultation regarding acceptable scores for selection criteria, this has now been ratified. As you will note, all full GB representation matches have been added.
Cogratulations to Kenny Parr and Julia Lydall on their recent performances in Hanover, well done.

The 2007 - 2008 Selection Criteria has now been added along with the Nominated Meetings and NEW Minimum Consideration Scores. Please check these out as they have changed now that the 2006 Commonwealth Games has taken place and have recently been ratified by the committee of the ESSU.

The last of the selection scores are finally in and posted. The new TENS will be selected at the forthcoming committee meeting taking place on Saturday 30th September and announced shortly afterwards. The first training weekend will be taking place on the 4th/5th November so if you think you may be in with a chance of selection, please put it in your diary. This weekend will see the second of the "Development Assessment weekends" after which the first Development Squad will be selected.
The selection criteria and new MCS's for TENS 2007/2008 will again be agreed at the forthcoming committee meeting, and once confirmed will be posted on this website.
We are aware that the ESSU website is currently out of action. Any important information will be sent to members by post as normal and also posted on this website until the ESSU website is back up and running.

Website back up and running after technical problems on return from Melbourne. The rifle scores are up to date and the pistol scores will follow shortly. I appologise for lack of information over the last couple of months but it was beyond my control.

Mick Gault wins Gold in the Standard Pistol Individual match after a shoot off with Ali from Pakistan. This brings Micks personal total to 15 medals at Commonwealth Games and Englands final medal haul for Melbourne 2006 to 19 beating the Manchester total of 18.
This has been the best prepared shooting team at any Commonwealth Games and thanks must go to Sport England for their support in helping us to achieve this.

The England Shooting Team have matched the number of medals won at Manchester 2002 with 18. The current total is: 5 Gold, 8 Silver and 5 Bronze covering all disciplines. With a smaller team than Manchester this is a great achievment.

Mick Gault has beaten Karen Pickerings record medal haul for Commonwealth Games medals. Getting the Silver in todays 50m Pistol Individual has taken his total to 14medals, 1 more than Karen. Many results have been added late due to technical difficulties. Check out the journal for all the latest items added.
Englands current Shooting Medal haul stands at 13.

A second great day for England with 3 x Gold and 2 x Bronze for the shooting team. The smallbore section had a Gold in the Womens 3p pairs match with Louise Minett and Becky Spicer. Julia Lydall and Georgina Geikie broke the old games record on the way to the Bronze medal in the Air Pistol Women Pairs. The other medals came from Clay and Fullbore.

Great day for England with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and Mick Gault equalling Karen Pickerings total of 13 medals at Commonwealth Games.
Gold for Mike Babb and Chris Hector in Prone Men Pairs, Silver for Sharon Lee and Helen Spittles in Prone Women Pairs, Silver for Mick Gault and Nick Baxter in
10m Air Pistol Men Pairs. The Home Country Teams took 5 of the 6 medals on offer in the Prone events.

Conformation of new British Records set by England shooters at Intershoot. It has been confirmed by the NSRA that 5 British records were set during Intershoot with the Womens Air Pistol Team breaking the record twice in 3 days. The old record stood at 1117 (set in 1993 by England) and was broken firstly at 1124 then two days later was increased to 1126 both times with the team of: Julia Lydall, Georgina Geikie and Kathryn Pearson. Julia also broke the British Junior record twice, firstly from 476.3 (set by Sarah Bird) to 480.0 and again 2 days later to 480.6. Well done girls!
Chris Hector set the fifth British record in Mens Air Rifle raising his own record of 696.2 to 698.5, well done Chris
